Configuring Outbreak Prevention Settings

Specify outbreak prevention measures and then activate outbreak prevention when OfficeScan detects an outbreak on your network.

When you are sure that an outbreak has been contained, restore pre-outbreak settings.

To configure and activate outbreak prevention settings:

  1. Select the type of outbreak prevention measure. You can do the following:

  1. Select the number of hours outbreak prevention will stay in effect. The default setting is 48 hours. You can manually restore your network settings before the outbreak prevention period expires.

  1. Accept or modify the default client notification message.

  1. Click Start Outbreak Notification.

  2. Go back to the client tree. In the OPP column, a check mark will appear for computers applying outbreak prevention measures.
