System Event Logs

To view system event logs:

  1. Under Event Description, check for logs that need further action. OfficeScan logs the following events:

  1. OfficeScan Master Service and Database Server:

  2. Master Service started

  3. Master Service stopped successfully

  4. Master Service stopped unsuccessfully

  5. Database Server restarted

  1. Outbreak notifications for firewall violation and shared folder sessions:

  2. Log type (IDS logs, Firewall logs, Network Virus logs) exceeded

  3. Number of shared folder sessions in the last {number of minutes}

  1. Database backup:

  2. Database backup successful

  3. Database backup failed

  4. Database backup canceled

  1. To save the log as a comma-separated value (CSV) data file, click Export to CSV. Open the file or save it to a specific location. A CSV file usually opens with a spreadsheet application such as Microsoft Excel.
