manual_client_grouping
OfficeScan uses this setting only during fresh client installations. The installation program checks the network domain to which a target computer belongs. If the domain name already exists on the client tree, OfficeScan groups the client on the target computer under that domain and will apply the settings configured for the domain. If the domain name does not exist, OfficeScan adds the domain on the client tree, groups the client under that domain, and then applies the root settings to the domain and client.
If you choose the manual client grouping method, manage domains and the clients grouped under them by performing the following tasks:
Add a domain
Delete a domain or client
Rename a domain
Move a client to another domain
Refer to Client Grouping Tasks.
To configure manual client grouping: >>>
Networked Computers > Client Grouping
Specify client grouping method:
NetBIOS domain
Active Directory domain
DNS domain
Click Save.
