Add_grouping_aD
Create custom client groups using the Active Directory structure to map clients in the OfficeScan client tree. The feature can help administrators arrange the OfficeScan client tree structure before the client registers to the OfficeScan server.
To add the Active Directory grouping: >>>
Networked Computers > Client Grouping > Add > Active Directory
Enable the client grouping.
Specify a name for the grouping.
Specify the Active Directory domain(s) or folder(s) for this grouping.
Optionally enable Duplicate Active Directory structure into OfficeScan client tree. This option maps and duplicates an Active Directory domain including subdomains, to an OfficeScan domain instead of mapping individual Active Directory domains to OfficeScan domains.
When mapping an Active Directory domain without subdomains, only the domain name will appear. If the Active Directory has subdomains, the OfficeScan client tree copies the exact folder structure with the corresponding subdomains.
Select the OfficeScan domain to which the selected Active Directory domain(s) maps. If the domain does not exist, do the following:
Mouseover anywhere on the client tree and click the add domain icon.
Add domain icon
Type the domain in the text box provided.
Click the check mark next to the text box. The new domain is added and is automatically selected.
Click Save.
