Standard_List
OfficeScan clients use the standard list for:
Web reputation (internal clients)
File reputation (smart scan clients)
You can configure clients to use proxy settings when connecting to the Smart Protection Servers on the list. For details, see Internal Proxy.
Users will not be able to configure the default integrated server from the standard list. Add a separate integrated server to use HTTP protocol.
To configure the standard list: >>>
Smart Protection > Smart Protection Source > Internal Clients
Click the standard list link.
In the screen that opens, click Add.
Specify the Smart Protection Server name or IP address. This Smart Protection Server hosts File Reputation Services, Web Reputation Services, or both. File Reputation Services supports HTTP or HTTPS, while Web Reputation Services supports only HTTP connection.
Clients can connect to the Smart Protection Servers using HTTP and HTTPS protocols. HTTPS allows for a more secure connection while HTTP uses less bandwidth.
To obtain the Smart Protection Server address:
For the integrated Smart Protection Server, open the OfficeScan Web console and go to Smart Protection > Integrated Server.
For the standalone Smart Protection Server, open the standalone server's console and go to the Summary page.
Because the integrated Smart Protection Server and the OfficeScan server run on the same computer, the computer’s performance may reduce significantly during peak traffic for the two servers. To reduce the traffic directed to the OfficeScan server computer, assign a standalone Smart Protection Server as the primary smart protection source and the integrated server as a backup source.
Select whether this server will host File Reputation Services, Web Reputation Services, or both.
Specify the port number for secure connection.
For standalone servers, Trend Micro recommends using 443 for HTTPS connection and 80 for HTTP connection.
Optionally, enable SSL if the connection specified is HTTPS. HTTPS allows for a more secure connection while HTTP uses less bandwidth.
Click Test Connection to verify if connection to the server can be established.
Click Save when the test connection is successful. The Smart Protection Source screen displays.
Recommended Tasks: >>>

For the integrated Smart Protection Server, the server’s configuration screen displays.
For standalone Smart Protection Servers and the integrated Smart Protection Server of another OfficeScan server, the console logon screen displays.
To delete an entry, select the check box for the server and click Delete.
To export the list to a .dat file, click Export and then click Save.

On top of the screen, select whether clients will refer to the servers in the order in which they appear on the list or randomly. If you select Order, use the arrows under the Order column to move servers up and down the list.
Click Save.
