Custom Lists

If you select custom lists, specify a range of IP addresses for a custom list. If a client’s IP address is within the range, the client uses the custom list.

  1. Click Add.

  2. In the screen that opens, specify the following:

  3. Specify the Smart Scan Server’s address (in URL format).   

  4. To obtain the Smart Scan Server address:

  5. Click Test Connection to verify if connection to the server can be established. Click Save when the test connection is successful.

  6. To open the console of a local Smart Scan Server, click Launch console.

  7. To delete an entry, click the icon under Delete.

  8. Select whether clients will refer to the servers in the order in which they appear on the list or randomly. If you select Order, use the arrows under the Order column to move servers up and down the list.

  9. Click Save.

  10. Back in the Smart Scan Source screen, select whether to refer to the standard list if the client is unable to connect to any server on the custom list.

  11. To modify an IP address range and its corresponding custom list, click the link under IP Range.

  12. To export the custom lists to a .dat file, click Export and then click Save.

  13. If you have exported custom lists from another server and want to import them to this screen, click Import and locate the .dat file. The lists load on the screen.
