Decrypting a Disk with the Repair CD
Procedure
Power on the endpoint.
Immediately press
F12
(or the appropriate button to enter the boot options).
Insert the Repair CD and select the CD/DVD drive from the boot options screen.
The device boots into the Repair CD environment.
The Full Disk Encryption Repair CD preboot logon appears.

Specify the user name and password.
Click
Login
.
The Full Disk Encryption Repair CD menu screen appears.

Click
Recovery Console
.
The
Decrypt Disk
screen appears.
Recover Console
Click
Decrypt
to begin fully decrypting the
Endpoint Encryption
device.
When decryption completes, click
Exit
to return to the Repair CD menu.
Click
Reboot Computer
to restart the
Endpoint Encryption
device.
Note
Remove the Full Disk Encryption Repair CD from the optical drive to start the
Endpoint Encryption
device normally.
Log on to the Full Disk Encryption preboot.
Log on to Windows and proceed with the preferred recovery method.
