Accessing Task Shortcuts Parent topic

Shortcuts to tasks that users perform frequently are available when right-clicking the Security Agent icon in the Windows Task Bar.

Enable Independent Mode
Available only if the Apex One administrator granted you the privilege to configure Independent Mode
Disable Schedule-based updates
Available only if the Apex One administrator granted you the privilege to configure schedule-based updates
Disable Firewall
Available only if the Apex One administrator granted you the privilege to configure the Apex One Firewall
Enable IDS Mode
Available only if the Apex One administrator granted you the privilege to configure Intrusion Detection System
Open Security Agent Console
Open the Security Agent main console
Open Apex One Real-Time Monitor
Open the Real-time Monitor to view the files Apex One is scanning
Update Now
Run a manual update if components are out-of-date
Scan
Run a manual scan to check for security risks
Component Versions
View the following information:
  • Program version. Program refers to the Security Agent.
  • Any Hot Fix that the Security Agent has applied
  • Client GUID
  • The Apex One server that manages the Security Agent
  • Last update date/time
  • Updatable components that protect the endpoint from security threats
Unload Security Agent
Available only if the Apex One administrator granted you the privilege to unload the Security Agent.
Type the administrator password, if required, and click OK.

Unloading the Security Agent disables all security features and leaves the endpoint unprotected.
