Managing Network Interface Ports Parent topic

Procedure

  1. Go to AdministrationSystem SettingsNetwork Interface.
  2. View the status for each port.
  3. (Optional) If using VLAN tags, select Check VLAN tags to differentiate TCP connections.

    When this option is enabled, Deep Discovery Inspector additionally checks the VLAN ID of each stream to differentiate TCP connections.
  4. (Optional) If using an SSL inspection product, specify how Deep Discovery Inspector identifies decrypted SSL traffic .
    1. Click the right arrow (right-arrow.png) at the beginning of the row to open the Interface details panel.
    2. In the Interface details panel, check SSL identification.
      The Edit criteria option appears when SSL identification is selected.
    3. Click Edit criteria.
      The Identification for Decrypted SSL Traffic window appears.
    4. Configure the Marker VLAN tag or TCP port that decrypted SSL traffic uses.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Repeat the above steps for each interface that receives decrypted SSL traffic.
  5. (Optional) If receiving traffic via encapsulated remote mirroring, configure the receiving port on Deep Discovery Inspector.
    1. Click the right arrow (right-arrow.png) at the beginning of the row to open the Interface details panel.
    2. In the Interface details panel, check Encapsulated remote mirroring.
    3. In the text box next to Encapsulated Remote Mirroring, type an IPv4 address.
    4. Repeat the above steps for each interface that receives encapsulated mirrored traffic.
  6. Click Save.
