Running the Device List Tool

Perform this task on the target endpoint or copy the listDeviceInfo.exe file obtained from the task to the target endpoint. Ensure that the removable storage devices are connected to the target endpoint.

  1. Sign into the Worry-Free Business Security Services web console.
  2. Go to the Configure Policy screen by performing one of the following:

    • Classic Mode: Go to SECURITY AGENTS and select a group. Click > Configure Policy.

    • Advanced Mode: Go to POLICIES > Policy Management. Click Add or click an existing policy.

  3. Click Windows.
  4. Click Exceptions.
  5. Under Non-monitored Removable Storage Devices, click Download Device List Tool.
  6. Double-click the listDeviceInfo.exe file.

    The Device List Tool displays the device information in your browser.

  7. Use the following information in Data Loss Prevention:

    • Vendor

    • Model

    • Serial ID
