Excluding Folders from Scans

Important:

Decrypting an infected file could spread the virus/malware to other files.

Note:

This feature is only available for Windows endpoints.

To prevent the Security Agent from detecting the virus/malware again when you use the Restore Infected Files tool, you need to exclude the folder to which you decrypt the file from Real-Time Scan.

  1. Grant privileges to the Security Agent from the Worry-Free Business Security Services web console.
    1. Go to the Configure Policy screen by performing one of the following:
      • Classic Mode: Go to SECURITY AGENTS and select a group. Click > Configure Policy.

      • Advanced Mode: Go to POLICIES > Policy Management. Click Add or click an existing policy.

    2. Click Windows.
    3. Go to Privileges and Other Settings.
    4. Click Privileges.
    5. In the Scan Types section, select Real-Time Scan.
  2. Exclude the directory on the endpoint that will contain the decrypted file from the Security Agent console.
    1. Right-click the Security Agent icon on the task bar.
    2. Click Open Security Agent Console.
    3. Click Settings.
    4. On the Protection tab, select Real-time Scan from the drop-down list.
    5. Under Exclusions, select Enable exclusions.
    6. Add the directory (or files) you wish to exclude.
    7. Click OK.
