Configuring the Firewall

The firewall protects against hacker attacks and network viruses by creating a barrier between the endpoint and the network.

Note:

Administrators may deny access to this feature.

  1. Click the Settings button () on the main console.
  2. On the Protection tab, select Firewall from the drop-down menu.
  3. Select Enable Firewall.
    Note:

The endpoint may temporarily lose network connectivity when you enable or disable the firewall.

  4. Select Enable Intrusion Detection System on all network cards.

For details, see Intrusion Detection System.

  5. View specific network card settings by clicking the IP address in the Network Cards table.
    Note:

The Security Agent displays specific network card setting details, but these settings cannot be modified.

  6. Click OK.
