Data Loss Prevention Rules

Manage the Data Loss Prevention rules to scan outbound web traffic for content including sensitive data and apply them to secure access rules for enhanced protection.

The internet access service provides Data Loss Prevention rules to make it easier to track sensitive data, and to safeguard your organization's confidential information against accidental disclosure and intentional theft.

Data Loss Prevention rules can be applied to the following:

  • Internet access rules

The following table outlines the actions available on the Data Loss Prevention tab (Zero Trust Secure Access > Secure Access Resources > Data Loss Prevention).

Description

Add a Data Loss Prevention rule

  1. On the Data Loss Prevention tab, click Add.

  2. Follow the instructions to add a Data Loss Prevention rule.

Check Data Loss Prevention rule details

View the basic information about a Data Loss Prevention rule, including the selected predefined Data Loss Prevention templates and the number of rules that are using the rule.

Configure a Data Loss Prevention rule

Click in the Action column to change the basic information about a Data Loss Prevention rule.

Click in the Action column to duplicate a Data Loss Prevention rule. This provides a convenient way of adding a new Data Loss Prevention rule with settings similar to an existing rule.

Click in the Action column to delete a Data Loss Prevention rule from Trend Vision One.

To delete more than one Data Loss Prevention rule, select the rules and click Delete in the upper left.

Note:

Only the Data Loss Prevention rule that is not in use by any secure access rule can be deleted.
