Deploying the Agent Installer to Mac Endpoints

Mac deployment includes some prerequisite permissions before installing the Agent and enabling the sensors.

Note:

The macOS agent only supports the system proxy, and is limited to HTTP/HTTPS proxies without credentials.

After deploying the agent to Mac endpoints, you must enable XDR capabilities by assigning endpoints to groups with XDR capabilities enabled by policy.

For more information, see Endpoint Inventory 2.0.

Obtain the macOS package from the Trend Vision One console.
- Download the package locally and deploy the archive to target endpoints.
- Copy the download link and paste into the target endpoint's browser.
Important:
Each installation package is specific to your company. After installing the package, the endpoint starts reporting to your company's Trend Vision One console.
Install the Agent using the wizard.
Enable XDR capabilities on the endpoint.
1. On the Trend Vision One console, go to Endpoint Inventory.
2. Go to Endpoint Groups and assign the endpoint to a group with XDR capabilities enabled by policy.

3. On the endpoint, you must "Allow" the following when prompted:
  - Trend Micro Certificate
  - Trend Micro Extension (XDR) / System Extension
  - Full Disk Access
The endpoint begins reporting activity data to Trend Vision One.
