Deploying the Agent Installer with Service Gateway Forward Proxy

Forward proxy service requires a deployment script in addition to an installer.

The deployment script is available from the Agent Installer screen in the Endpoint Inventory app.

Important:

To use this feature, you must first complete the Initial Setup wizard on the Endpoint Groups tab.

Completing Initial Setup allows you to create endpoint groups, use policy-based settings management, and access other features.

First-time deployment

Windows

  1. Download the deployment script and agent installer to the same location.

  2. Run the deployment script. The agent installer runs.

macOS

  1. Download the deployment script and agent installer to the same location.

  2. Run the agent installer.

  3. Once the agent installer completes, run the deployment script.

Update service gateway deployments

Note:

The deployment script is necessary to update agents on endpoints without internet connections. Endpoints with internet connections can automatically update forward proxy settings from Trend Vision One.

  1. Download the new deployment script and agent installer to the same location.

  2. Run the new deployment script. The agent installer runs..

Note:

Endpoints will retain the same GUIDs and settings after the installation process finishes.

macOS

Download and run the new deployment script. No installer required.
