Troubleshooting Azure AD Connections

Resolve Azure AD connection problems related to error messages displayed in the Azure AD screen.

The following table lists error messages that display in the Azure AD screen and outlines the steps required to resolve the errors.

Authentication error

  1. Click the status icon or Details next to the status icon, and then click Grant Permissions.

  2. On the Microsoft authentication screen, sign in to Azure AD with administrator credentials if prompted.

  3. Review the permissions required and click Accept.

Application disabled in Azure AD

  1. Sign in to Azure AD with administrator credentials.

  2. Locate the Trend Vision One application.

  3. Go to the Properties section and change Enabled for users to sign-in? to Yes.

  4. Go back to the Azure AD screen in the Trend Vision One console.

  5. Locate the error, click the status icon or Details next to the status icon, and then click Grant Permissions.

  6. On the Microsoft authenticator screen that appears, sign in to Azure AD with administrator credentials if prompted.

  7. Review the permissions required and click Accept.

Apps require certain permissions in Azure AD to interact with the correct data

  1. Click the status icon or Details next to the status icon, and then click Grant Permissions.

  2. On the Microsoft authentication screen, sign in to Azure AD with administrator credentials if prompted.

  3. Review the permissions required and click Accept.

Another Trend Micro Account has already been connected to Azure AD

  1. Contact your support provider to resolve the conflict.

  2. Go back to the Azure AD screen in the Trend Vision One console.

  3. Click the status icon or Details next to the status icon, and then click Grant Permissions.

  4. On the Microsoft authentication screen, sign in to Azure AD with administrator credentials if prompted.

  5. Review the permissions required and click Accept.
