Connecting a Deployed Deep Discovery Inspector

Connect a deployed Deep Discover Inspector appliance using the Network Inventory app.

Important:

The Network Inventory app can connect to Deep Discovery Inspector version 5.6 SP1 or later.

  1. On the Trend Micro Vision One console, go to Network Security Operations > Network Inventory.
  2. Click Connect Network Sensor.
  3. Under Product, select Deployed Deep Discovery Inspector.
  4. Select the Deep Discovery Inspector version.
  5. Follow the instructions for the selected version.

    5.7 Service Pack 3 and above

    1. Specify the Deep Discovery Inspector appliance IP address or FQDN.

      Important:

      You can only access appliances that are part of your corporate network or that you can reach directly.

    2. Click Go.

      The Deep Discovery Inspector appliance console opens.

    3. On the Deep Discovery Inspector console, log on with an administrator account.

    4. (Optional) Change the password.

    5. In the Registering to Trend Micro Vision One dialog, click Continue to confirm the process.

    5.6 Service Pack 1 / 5.7 / 5.7 Service Pack 1 / 5.7 Service Pack 2

    1. Copy the registration token.

    2. On the Deep Discovery Inspector management console, go to Administration > Integrated Products/Services > Deep Discovery Director > Management Server.

    3. Select Cloud version as Server type.

    4. Click Register.

    5. Paste the copied registration token into the Registration token input field.

    6. Click Register.

  6. On the Trend Micro Vision One console, go to Network Security Operations > Network Inventory to verify the sensor status.
