External Proxy for OfficeScan Agents

The OfficeScan server and OfficeScan agent can use external proxy settings when connecting to servers hosted by Trend Micro. This topic discusses external proxy settings for agents. For external proxy settings for the server, see Proxy for OfficeScan Server Updates.

OfficeScan agents use the proxy settings configured in Internet Explorer or Chrome to connect to the Trend Micro Smart Protection Network. If proxy server authentication is required, agents will use proxy server authentication credentials (user ID and password).
