Enabling or Disabling the Agent Services from the Web Console

  1. Go to Agents > Agent Management.
  2. For OfficeScan agents running Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, or 10:
    1. In the agent tree, click the root domain icon () to include all agents or select specific domains or agents.
      Note:

      When you select the root domain or specific domains, the setting will only apply to agents running Windows desktop platforms. The setting will not apply to agents running any Windows Server platforms even if they are part of the domains.

    2. Click Settings > Additional Service Settings.
    3. Select or clear the check box under the following sections:
      • Unauthorized Change Prevention Service

      • Firewall Service

      • Suspicious Connection Service

      • Data Protection Service

      • Advanced Protection Service

    4. Click Save to apply settings to the domain(s). If you selected the root domain icon, choose from the following options:
      • Apply to All Agents: Applies settings to all existing Windows desktop agents and to any new agents added to an existing/future domain. Future domains are domains not yet created at the time you configure the settings.

      • Apply to Future Domains Only: Applies settings only to Windows desktop agents added to future domains. This option will not apply settings to new agents added to an existing domain.

  3. For OfficeScan agents running Windows Server platforms:
    1. Select a single agent in the agent tree.
    2. Click Settings > Additional Service Settings.
    3. Select or clear the check box under the following sections:
      • Unauthorized Change Prevention Service

      • Firewall Service

      • Suspicious Connection Service

      • Data Protection Service

      • Advanced Protection Service

    4. Click Save.
