To uninstall Endpoint Application Control, Trend Micro recommends the following:
Use a Windows administrator account to uninstall.
After uninstalling, restart the agent endpoint to allow Setup to complete clean-up tasks.
Use any appropriate uninstallation method for the type of Setup used to deploy the agent.
For example, use an appropriate uninstallation method from the following table:
Installation Type |
Appropriate Uninstallation Methods |
---|---|
OfficeScan |
Use the OfficeScan plug-in. For example, to remove the Endpoint Application Control agent from selected endpoints, go to the OfficeScan console and then, on the Agent Management screen, click Tasks > Uninstall Agent. Important:
If agents are installed using the OfficeScan plug-in, and then you attempt to uninstall using any method other than the OfficeScan plug-in, the OfficeScan console will continue to display the agent as "installed" but the agent may not be installed or functional. |
Windows |
Use any of the following methods:
|
Command prompt |
|
Logon script |
|
Active Directory |
|
Third-party application deployment tool |
If uninstallation is interrupted or fails, you may need to manually remove items. After restarting the agent endpoint, confirm that the following items are removed:
