New Features in Endpoint Application Control SP1 Patch 3

The following table outlines the new features in Endpoint Application Control SP1 Patch 3.

Dynamically updated allowed application lists

Endpoint Application Control allows you to create dynamically updated allowed application lists through use of special logging and tagging options. You can create dynamically updated lists by setting up a test endpoint environment or based on endpoint inventory scanning.

For more information, see Policy Logging and Creating Dynamically Updated Allowed Application Rules.

Automatic removal of inactive user associations with endpoints

Endpoint Application Control allows you to configure the period in which a user association with an endpoint is no longer active. After determining that a user is inactive on a specific endpoint, Endpoint Application Control automatically removes the user and endpoint association from the Users and Endpoints list.

For more information, see Inactive Users Screen.

Policy deployment status enhancement

Endpoint Application Control displays additional policy deployment statuses to ensure that you know whether endpoints have the newest policies, are awaiting a policy deployment, or are unable to receive updated policy settings.

For more information, see Policies Screen Columns.

Insufficient disk space server message

Endpoint Application Control monitors and logs disk space issues in the server message logs.
