About Rules and Policies

Endpoint Application Control uses policies to enforce application control rules.

The following list outlines the application control process:

  1. Administrator adds application control rules to policies.

    See Rules Screen and Policies Screen.

  2. Endpoint Application Control deploys policies to matched users and endpoints.

    See About Policy Deployment and About Rule Priority.

  3. Administrator monitors environment and logs.

    See Users and Endpoints Screen and Query Logs Screen.

  4. Administrator updates application control rules and policies, including matching criteria, as needed.
