Match Using Known Application Dynamic Search

Matches are based on the Certified Safe Software List and any application inventories collected from endpoints. After a rule is created, matches update with changes to the list and endpoint inventories.

The Certified Safe Software List is a comprehensive list of applications considered to be safe by Trend Micro. The list includes most popular operating system files and binaries as well as applications for desktops, servers, and mobile devices. Trend Micro periodically provides updates to the list. Check for updates on the Updates screen.

To select applications using this method, do the following tasks:

Task	Steps
Match applications.	Use dynamic search to match applications. Figure 1. Dynamic Search Note: Rules with high numbers of matched applications may substantially increase network data transfers. Add another application to match.	Click the OR button. Figure 2. The OR Button

Display list of matching applications.	Click Show Matches.
Hide list of matching applications.	Click Hide Matches.
