About Rule Types

Rules apply a specific type of action to matched applications.

Rule Type	Actions
Allow	Allow rules allow all specified applications and Trusted Sources to start. To learn about granting additional "allow" rights to child processes, see About Trusted Sources.
Block	Block rules block any specified applications not specifically allowed by an Allow rule.
Lockdown	Lockdown rules generally block applications added after applying the lockdown rule, but allow applications to start under certain conditions. See About Lockdown Allow Conditions.
