Starting and Stopping Log Forwarding

Go to the Control Manager installation directory.
By default, the installation directory is C:\Program Files (x86)\Trend Micro\Control Manager.
Execute the LogForwarder.exe file using administrator rights (Run as administrator) to open the LogForwarder console.
Perform one of the following actions:
- To start log forwarding:
  1. Click Start.
    
    Note:
    If the Control Manager service has not yet started, a message appears prompting you to wait a moment for the service to restart.
  2. Confirm that you want to start log forwarding.
  Note:
  Starting log forwarding restarts the Control Manager service and closes the LogForwarder console. After the Control Manager service restarts successfully, the tool continues to run in the background until users reopen the LogForwarder console and click Stop.
- To stop log forwarding:
  1. Click Stop.
    
    Note:
    If the Control Manager service has not yet started, a message appears prompting you to wait a moment for the service to restart.
  2. Confirm that you want to stop log forwarding.
    
    Note:
    Stopping log forwarding restarts the Control Manager service. After the Control Manager service restarts successfully, the tool no longer runs in the background.
