Cloud App Security requires that you provision a service account before protecting your service. Provisioning is the process where you grant Cloud App Security necessary permissions to access the target service to scan for threats and take actions.
Cloud App Security allows you to provision service accounts for the following services:
Office 365 services: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams (Teams), and Microsoft Teams (Chat)
Cloud storage services: Box, Dropbox, and Google Drive
Gmail
Salesforce
In addition, after you provision for Office 365 services, you can provision two types of service accounts for dedicated purposes:
MIP or RMS account: Allows Cloud App Security to scan Office 365 service content encrypted by one of Microsoft's information protection solutions.
Microsoft Identity Protection account: Allows Cloud App Security to obtain data from Microsoft Identity Protection for use in its dashboard widgets.
