Deprovisioning an Exchange Mail Flow Service Account


Before the deprovisioning, make sure you restore any item quarantined by Outbound Protection if necessary. For details, see Managing Quarantine.

After the deprovisioning, all the items quarantined by Outbound Protection are removed permanently and cannot be restored.

  1. Go to Administration > Service Account.
  2. Locate an organization, select the Exchange Mail Flow service account, and click Remove.
  3. On the Remove Exchange Mail Flow Service Account screen that appears, click OK.
  4. Click the Details link in the Status column to check the progress.
  5. After checking the detailed information, click Close to close the screen.

    After the deprovisioning, the transport rule and the two connectors are removed from Exchange Online, and the domains added during the provisioning are removed from Cloud App Security.
