This tutorial explains how to scan your computer and interpret the results.
Why scan your computer?
Enabling protection against viruses and spyware keeps your computer protected in "real-time," so you do not need to start a scan to remove malicious software. However, if your computer performs poorly due to a possible infection, you can still run a scan at any time.
You can choose from three types of scans:

What happens when your security software detects a threat?
Which scan is best?
All scans check for the same types of threats, like viruses and spyware. Use Quick Scan if you have recently run a Full Scan. Although it takes longer, run a Full Scan if you have time.
