Automatic Renewals

The details of renewing your subscription may vary if you purchased your security software from a partner company. Please refer to your original receipt for more information.

What are automatic renewals?

Trend Micro offers access to the latest protection on a subscription basis. By having your Trend Micro subscription renew automatically, you can keep computer viruses, spyware, and online security threats from accessing your computer, personal data, and financial information. Your Trend Micro subscription will extend automatically shortly before the expiration date, so your protection is never interrupted.

How does the renewal process work?

After setting up your subscription to renew automatically, you will start receiving email reminders about a month before your current subscription period comes to an end. The reminders include a link that you can click to cancel your subscription, if you want. If you do nothing, then your subscription will renew automatically.

Shortly before the current expiration date, your subscription will renew automatically at the current standard renewal price (or less, if discounts apply). The charge will go to the same credit card used to make the original purchase, and you will then receive a confirmation message by email. You stay protected without ever touching another button.

How can automatic renewals be stopped?

You do not need to wait until a reminder comes to stop your subscription from renewing automatically. Just follow the directions below:

  1. Sign into your Trend Micro Account.
  2. After signing in, find the Auto-renew control for the software that you want to stop renewing automatically, and slide the switch to OFF.
  3. In the window that opens, click the Disable Now button. Once the window has closed, your subscription will no longer renew automatically.
