Upgrading Safe Mobile Workforce 1.1 Parent topic

This procedure ONLY applies to Safe Mobile Workforce 1.1. Any release prior to 1.1 could not be upgraded using this procedure. To upgrade releases prior to 1.1, remove the installation from the bare metal server, or remove the virtual machine, and then install the latest release according to the procedure described in the Installation and Deployment Guide.

Before performing this upgrade, make sure that all the users are offline. Otherwise, the upgrade would not be successful. To forcefully disconnect all the users, you may consider stopping the server to perform this upgrade.

Procedure

  1. Download the upgrade package from Trend Micro Download Center:
    http://www.downloadcenter.trendmicro.com
  2. Rename the installation package to:
    upgrade.tar.bz2
  3. Copy the installation package to the following location on Safe Mobile Workforce server:
    /gluster/upload/
  4. Open Terminal on the Safe Mobile Workforce server, and log on with the admin user account.
  5. Type the following command:
    enable
  6. Press Enter.
  7. Type the following command:
    upgrade
  8. Press Enter.
    The installation package starts upgrading the server.
