Scheduled Scan Settings

When enabled, Scheduled Scan checks files for malware at a user specified time.

Enable Scheduled Scan :  enables or disables Scheduled Scan.

CPU Usage :  select between better scan performance and lower computer performance or better computer performance and lower scan performance.

High: best scan performance but computer performance may be impacted.

Low: best computer performance but scan results may be impacted.

Scan compressed files :  compressed file scans utilize system resources and can impact computer performance.

Targets :  specify a target option.

Recommended files:  scans file types recommended by Trend Micro™.

All files on your computer:  scans all files except encrypted or password protected files.

Only the files that you select:  scans only user specified files.

Schedule :  specify scan intervals; Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.

Start Time :  specify a start time.

Action :  select a scan action.

Recommended action:  Trend Micro™ Security (for Macintosh) first attempts to clean the file. If Security (for Macintosh) is unable to clean the file, it will attempt another action.

Customize action:  specify an action for Security (for Macintosh) to take when it detects malware.

Restore Defaults :  default settings for Scheduled Scan:

Enable Scheduled Scan, Scan compressed files, Recommended files, Monthly, 1st day of month, 12:00AM, Recommended action

Scan Exception List :  specify files and extensions that Security (for Macintosh) should exclude from scans.
