Preconfiguration_Console_Access
This topic discusses how to access the Preconfiguration Console.
To access the Preconfiguration Console:
There are several ways to access the Preconfiguration Console.
From a monitor with a VGA port:
Connect the VGA port to the VGA port of the software appliance using a VGA cable.
From a computer with an Ethernet port:
Connect the Ethernet port to the management port of the software appliance using a general Ethernet cable.
On the computer, open an SSH communication application such as PuTTY.
To connect to the software appliance from another computer in your network (not directly connected to the software appliance), ensure that you access the computer connected to the management port.
Use the following values if you are accessing the console for the first time:
IP address (for SSH connection only): by default, it is 192.168.252.1
User name: tda
Password: press [Enter]
Port number: 22
From a computer with a serial port:
Connect the serial port to the serial port of the software appliance using an RS232 serial cable.
On the computer, open a serial communication application such as HyperTerminal.
Use the following values if you are accessing the console for the first time:
Bits per second: 115200
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None
When the Preconfiguration Console screen opens, type the default password admin and press [Enter] twice.
