Backup/Restore

Administration > Backup/Restore

This screen provides the following options.

• Backup Current Configuration—saves the current configuration to a file on your computer for backup. This file contains the system configurations. However, this does not include registration settings to other devices or services. You can use this configuration file to replicate the settings from one device to another.

• Warning: Back up your configuration settings before restoring the configuration or resetting to default settings.

• Restore Configuration (from backup)—allows you to use a backed up configuration file from the current device or from another Threat Discovery Appliance device

• Note: This configuration file does not support IP address settings. Change the IP address after restoring from the backup configuration file. This is because Threat Discovery Appliance uses the default IP address, 192.168.252.1.

Using the configuration files reverts the IP address settings to the following default values:

• Host name: localhost

• For static IP addresses:

• IP Address: 192.168.252.1

• Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

• Gateway: 192.168.252.254

• Reset to Default Settings—restores the default settings and deletes all configurations
