Deploying Android Agent Through Mobile Security Server Parent topic

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Mobile Security administration web console.
  2. Click AdministrationDevice Enrollment Settings on the menu bar.
  3. On the Authentication tab, select Authenticate using Enrollment Key, and then select Use preset Enrollment Key.
  4. Click AdministrationDeployment SettingsAndroid Agent (tab).
  5. Select Download from TMMS Server, and then select Auto Enrollment.
  6. Click Save to save the settings.
  7. Click Upload to upload it to the IBM MaaS360 server.
    The mobile device agent uploads and appears on the IBM MaaS360 administration web console.
  8. On the App Catalog screen, click Distribute under the Enterprise Mobile Security app name.
  9. Select All Devices, Group or Specific Devices from the Target drop down list, and type the group or mobile device's name in the field provided, and then click Distribute.
  10. If required, type your password on the pop-up screen.
    The application is distributed successfully to the selected mobile devices or groups.
  11. After enrolling mobile device to MaaS360 server, start App Catalog app, and then tap the Enterprise Mobile Security app from the Apps list.
  12. Tap Install to install the application to the mobile device.

What to do next

If you did not select the Auto Enrollment setting, provide the enrollment information to users, in the form of text or a QR-code after deploying the Android agent. The users can use the enrollment information or scan the QR code to enroll with the server. The enrollment information includes the server IP address and port number, and an enrollment key, which is available on the Android Agent tab on Deployment Settings screen.
