Configuring iOS Communication Server Settings Parent topic

Procedure

  1. Under Apple Push Notification service (APNs) Settings, configure the following:
    • Certificate type: Select your certificate type.
    • Certificate: Select APNs certificate from the drop-down list, or upload a new one.
  2. Under Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP) Settings, configure the following:
    1. Select Enable SCEP.
    2. If enabled, you must complete the following information:

  3. Under Client Profile Signing Credential, configure the following:
    • Client Profile Signing Credential: Select a certificate for signing credential from the drop-down list, or upload a new one.

    To configure the Mobile Device Agent on an iOS mobile device, Mobile Security installs an Install Profile on the mobile device. The Client Profile Signing Certificate is required to change the status of Install Profile to Verified. If you do not configure this setting, the Install Profile shows the status as Not Verified.
    Configuring this setting will display the Install Profile status as Verified on mobile device.
  4. Under iOS App Deployment Settings, select the iOS app version.
    • Full version: Provides mobile device management (MDM) and security scan features
    • Security scan only: Provides security scan features only
      If Security scan only is enabled, you must also perform the following steps.
      1. Download the Mobile Security iOS app.
      2. Sign the Mobile Security iOS app.
      3. Upload the signed Mobile Security iOS app.
      4. Upload a different APNs certificate for the signed Mobile Security iOS app.
      Mobile Security includes the download link for the Security scan only iOS app version in the invitation email.

    Before you can change the iOS App Deployment Settings, you must first ensure that devices installed with the current iOS app version are deleted from the Mobile Security server.
  5. Click Save.
