Sending Invitation to Mobile Devices Parent topic

Procedure

  1. Click Devices on the menu bar.
    The Devices screen displays.
  2. You can now invite one mobile device, a batch of mobile devices, a user or an email group (distribution list) from the Active Directory:
    • To invite a mobile device:
      1. Click Invite UsersInvite Single User.
        The Invite Single User window pops up.
      2. On the Invite Single User window, configure the following fields:
        • Email—type the user email address to send notification mail.
        • User Name—type the name of the mobile device to identify the device in the device tree.
        • Group—select the name of the group to which the mobile device belongs from the drop-down list. You can always change the group to which the mobile device agent belongs.

        To invite more devices, click the Client-Add-Button-3.pngbutton.
    • To invite a batch of mobile devices:
      1. Click Invite UsersInvite Batch.
      2. Type the device information using the following format in the text box on the window that displays:
        email_address, device_name, group_name, asset_number (optional), description(optional);

        Use semicolon (;) or "CR" to separate each device information.
      3. Click Validate to verify that the device information conforms to the specified format.
    • To invite a user or an email group (distribution list) from the Active Directory:
      1. Click Invite UsersInvite from Active Directory.
      2. Type the user information in the search field provided, and click Search.
      3. Select the users from the search result, and then click Invite Devices.
  3. Click Save.
Mobile Security sends invitation email to the users of the invited devices.
