Administration > SMS Sender/Gateway Settings > SMS in Queue
The Mobile Security Management Module automatically generates SMS messages for the following tasks performed:
add a mobile device
delete a mobile device
type a new product Activation Code
change the public IP address of the MSCM server
a server update task (scheduled or manual)
change domain settings and select to apply to all devices
remote wipe a device
remote lock a device
When the SMS senders are handling other messages, new SMS messages are put in a queue until the SMS senders are able to handle them.
You can view the queue status for the following SMS message types: Registration, Component Update, Policy Update, and Remote Control. These SMS messages are internal to the Mobile Security system. Users will not be able to view these messages in the inbox on their mobile devices. In addition, these SMS messages are encrypted to make the message content unreadable if an attacker intercepts the SMS messages.
Registration: notifies devices to install Mobile Device Agent or register to the Mobile Security Management Module. This message queue also contains the unregistration and provision notifications.
Component Update: notifies mobile devices to obtain updated Mobile Security components from the Mobile Security Management Module
Policy Update: notifies mobile devices to update security policy settings from the Mobile Security Management Module
Remote Control: displays the number of remote commands not yet sent and waiting in the queue.
Click Delete to clear the selected message queue. This clears all SMS messages in the queue.
