Configuring Spam Prevention Policy

Use the SMS Anti-Spam screen to enable or disable server-side control of Spam SMS Prevention Policies and Spam WAP Push Prevention Policies.

To configure Spam SMS Prevention Policies for a domain:

  1. In the Device Management screen, select a domain from the mobile device tree; then, click Domain Policies > Data Security > Spam Prevention Policy. The SMS Anti-Spam Policies pop-up screen displays.

  2. The SMS approved and blocked list must use the format: "[name1:]number1;[name2:]number2;..." The name length is 0-30 and the number length is 4-20. Phone numbers may contain digits, +, -, #, (, ), and spaces. The maximum number of entries is 200. Separate phone numbers with a semi-colon (;).

  1. Select Enable server-side control of SMS Anti-Spam; clear the checkbox to disable. If enabled, select from the following options:

  1. For the root domain, select Apply changes to all domains and send notification messages to all devices after clicking 'Save'. This action copies policies to all sub-domains sends an SMS notification to Mobile Device Agents about the configuration changes.

  2. For the sub-domain, select Send notification messages to mobile devices after clicking 'Save'. This action sends an SMS notification to Mobile Device Agents about the configuration changes.

To configure Spam WAP Push Prevention Policies for a domain:

  1. In the Device Management screen, select a domain from the mobile device tree; then, click Domain Policies > Data Security > Spam Prevention Policy. The Spam Prevention Policy pop-up screen displays.

  2. The WAP Push approved list must use the format: "[name1:]number1;[name2:]number2;..." The name length is 0-30 and the number length is 4-20. Phone numbers may contain digits, +, -, #, (, ), and spaces. The maximum number of entries is 200. Separate phone numbers with a semi-colon (;).

  1. Select Enable server-side control of Spam WAP Push Prevention; clear the checkbox to disable. If enabled, select from the following options:
