Using the Home Screen

Home

Use the Home screen for an at-a-glance summary of the product network Control Manager manages. The Home screen contains the following sections:

• Antivirus Summary

  Action	Description
  Cleaned	Displays the number of files cleaned (virus removed from infected file).
  Deleted	Displays the number of files deleted (infected file cannot be cleaned so file is deleted).
  Quarantined	Displays the number of files quarantined (infected file cannot be cleaned so file is quarantined).
  Passed	Displays the number of infected files passed (the file is not cleaned).
  Renamed	Displays the number of files renamed (the file is renamed after a clean or quarantine action).
  Unsuccessful	Displays the number of files that a specified action is unsuccessful in completing (The specified action could be any of the following: clean, delete, quarantine, pass, or renamed).
  Other	Displays the number of files that managed products detect and perform an action upon, but that Control Manager does not yet support.
  Total	Displays the total number of files from all of the above categories.

   

• Spyware/Grayware Summary

  Action	Description
  Cleaned	Displays the number of files cleaned (spyware/grayware removed from infected file).
  Deleted	Displays the number of files deleted (infected file cannot be cleaned so file is deleted).
  Quarantined	Displays the number of files quarantined (infected file cannot be cleaned so file is quarantined).
  Passed	Displays the number of infected files passed (the file is not cleaned).
  Renamed	Displays the number of files renamed (the file is renamed after a clean or quarantine action).
  Unsuccessful	Displays the number of files that a specified action is unsuccessful in completing (The specified action could be any of the following: clean, delete, quarantine, pass, or renamed).
  Other	Displays the number of files that managed products detect and perform an action upon, but that Control Manager does not yet support.

• Content Security Summary

  Action	Description
  Deleted	Displays the number of email messages deleted (due to user-specified unacceptable content).
  Attachments removed	Displays the number of email message attachments deleted (due to user-specified unacceptable content).
  Notified	Displays the number of notifications sent to clients (due to user-specified unacceptable content).
  Delivered	Displays the number of email messages delivered to clients (emails with attachments).
  Postponed	Displays the number of email messages held before being sent to the email recipient (due to verification of email content).
  Quarantined	Displays the number of email messages quarantined (due to verification of email content).
  Other	Displays the number of files that managed products detect and perform an action upon, but that Control Manager does not yet support.
  Total	Displays the total number of email messages from all categories.

   

• Web Security Summary

  Action	Description
  File blocking	Displays the number of downloaded files blocked (due to user-specified criteria for unacceptable downloads).
  URL blocking	Displays the number of blocked Web sites (due to user-specified criteria for unacceptable Web sites).
  URL filtering	Displays the number of filtered Web sites (due to user-specified criteria for unacceptable Web sites)
  Anti-spyware	Displays the number of spyware/grayware sites blocked.
  Anti-pharming	Displays the number of pharming sites blocked.
  Anti-phishing	Displays the number of phishing sites blocked.
  Client Policy	Displays the number of clients which violate policies.
  Other	Displays the number of files that managed products detect and perform an action upon, but that Control Manager does not yet support.
  Total	Displays the total number of files or Web sites blocked.

   

• Network Virus Summary

  Action	Description
  Passed	Displays the number of files a managed product passes.
  Dropped	Displays the number of files a managed product drops because the file cannot be cleaned or quarantined.
  Quarantined	Displays the number of files that are quarantined.
  Other	Displays the number of files that managed products detect and perform an action upon, but that Control Manager does not yet support.
  Total	Displays the total number of files the managed product performs an action upon.

• Violation Status

  Action	Description
  Service Violations	Displays the number of policy violations (user-specified polices).

   

• Component Status

  Virus pattern file	Displays the version of the virus pattern used by antivirus products
  Anti-spam rule	Displays the version of the spam rule used by content security products
  Damage cleanup template	Displays the version of the cleaning template used by Damage Cleanup Services (DCS)
  Damage cleanup engine	Displays the version of the engine used by DCS
  Network outbreak rule	Displays the version of the collaborative antivirus rule used by packet scanning products like Trend Micro Network VirusWall 1200
  Network virus pattern file for NVW	Displays the version of the network pattern used by packet scanning products
  Network VirusWall 1200 engine	Displays the version of the engine used by packet scanning antivirus products
  Network VirusWall 2500 engine	Displays the version of the engine used by packet scanning antivirus products
  Vulnerability Assessment pattern file	Displays the version of the vulnerability pattern used by Vulnerability Assessment (VA)
  Vulnerability assessment engine	Displays the version of the vulnerability engine used by VA
  Spyware/Grayware scan pattern file	Displays the version of the component used to detect hidden but legal programs that secretly collects confidential information
  Spyware/Grayware cleanup pattern file	Displays the version of the component used to remove hidden but legal programs that secretly collects confidential information
  Network virus pattern file for desktop	Displays the version of the Network virus pattern file for desktop products
  Common Firewall Driver	Displays the version of the Common Firewall Driver used by OfficeScan clients
  Rapid anti-spam pattern file	Displays the version of the rapid anti-spam pattern file used by content security products
  TMASE pattern file	Displays the version of the enterprise anti-spam pattern file used by anti-spam products
  SPS PASE Library Windows	Displays the version of the spam protection library for Windows-based products.
  SPS PASE Library Solaris	Displays the version of the spam protection library for Solaris-based products.
  SPS PASE Library Linux	Displays the version of the spam protection library for Linux-based products.
  Spyware/Grayware scan engine	Displays the version of the engine used by Anti-Spyware Enterprise Edition 1.0
  Spyware/Grayware cleanup template	Displays the version of the cleaning template used by Anti-Spyware Enterprise Edition 1.0
  Phish pattern for InterScan Web Security product line (IWSS/IWSA)	Displays the version of phish pattern used by the InterScan Web Security product line
  Virus scan engine	Displays the platform, version, and update time of the scan engine used by different antivirus managed product services registered to the Control Manager server

   

• Clicking the underlined numbers that display in the right-hand column of each table opens a detailed summary screen with information for the row.
  
  Example: In the Antivirus Summary table, clicking the corresponding number for the row Cleaned opens a summary screen. The summary screen displays information about all the machines that have been cleaned.
