Removing a UNIX-Based Control Manager Agent

The following only applies to TMI-based agents not MCP agents. MCP agents install with the managed product and cannot be removed.

When removing a UNIX-based Trend Micro product (for example, InterScan eManager for Solaris), its Control Manager agent, or both:

  1. Remove the agent first

  2. Then the product

  3. Finally the Trend Micro Infrastructure

  4. Remove the Control Manager agent directly from the UNIX-based server.

Trend Micro recommends retaining TMI in the likely event that you will install a Control Manager agent on the same machine.
