
You can perform all Control Manager log maintenance from the Log Maintenance screen. Through the Log Maintenance screen you can perform maintenance on the following log types:
Virus/Spyware/Grayware log
Product event log
Security log
Web security log
Network virus log
Endpoint log
Security violation log
Security compliance log
Security statistic log
Suspicious virus log
Network reputation log
Desktop spyware/grayware log
Firewall violation log
Access log
Server event
Mouseover Logs/Reports on the main menu. A drop down menu appears.
Select Settings from the drop down menu. A submenu appears.
Click Log Maintenance from the drop down menu. The Log Maintenance screen appears.
Select the corresponding check box for the logs you want to delete.
Click Delete All in the corresponding row for logs you want to remove.
To configure automatic log purging:
Logs are deleted (purged) when the maximum log age is reached or the maximum number of log entries is reached.
Mouseover Logs/Reports on the main menu. A drop down menu appears.
Select Settings from the drop down menu. A submenu appears.
Click Log Maintenance from the drop down menu. The Log Maintenance screen appears.
Select the corresponding check box for the logs for which you want to configure settings.
Specify the maximum number of logs that Control Manager retains in the Maximum Log Entries column.
In Purge offset, specify the number of logs Control Manager removes when the maximum number of logs is reached.
In Maximum Log Age, specify the age of logs that Control Manager purges automatically.
Click Save.
