Configure Proxy Server Connection Settings

Administration > Proxy Settings

Use the Connection Settings screen to configure proxy server connection for component download and license updates.

To configure proxy server settings:

  1. Mouseover Administration. A drop down menu appears.

  2. Mouseover Settings. A sub-menu appears.

  3. Click Proxy Settings. The Connection Settings screen appears.

  4. Select the Use a proxy server for pattern, engine, and license updates checkbox in the proxy settings area.

  5. Type the host name or IP address of the server in the Host name field.

  6. Type a port number in the Port field.

  7. Select the protocol:

  8. HTTP

  9. SOCKS

  1. Type a log on user name and password if your server requires authentication.

  2. Click Save.
