The Product Status or Global Status tab provides summaries depending on the Product Directory element you selected.
There are two types of summaries found in the Product Directory or cascading structure tree Product Status / Status screen:
Specific (according to a managed product or child server)
Managed Product Status Summary
Child Server Status Summary
The status summary screen for a managed product provides the following information:
Product Information and Component Status - includes the managed product information and status of all components available in the managed product server
Operating System Information - includes software platform details
Agent Environment Information - includes the Control Manager agent environment information
The IP address field for the managed product Status screen can display up to 128 characters.
If you click a:
ServerProtect domain - the information about all the ServerProtect Normal Servers in the domain appears. A ServerProtect domain behaves like a folder segment
Managed product - the information about the product, its operating system, agent environment, and component status appears
The status summary screen for a child server provides the following information:
The Antivirus Summary, Content Security Summary, and Web Security Summary of the managed products registered to the child server
Component Status - includes the status of all components used by the managed products registered to the child server
System Information - includes the information of the Control Manager used by the child server
Operating System Information - includes software platform details used by the child server
Control Manager updates Component Status when either of the following events transpire: After establishing cascading relationship—that is, after running CasTool.exe The child server will send all existing and newly registered managed products component status to the parent server even if the Upload child Control Manager server logs to the parent server option is disabled. After updating components If the Upload child Control Manager server logs to the parent server option is enabled, the child server will send updated managed product component status to the parent server.
Group
The managed product or cascading structure group summaries are more comprehensive than their specific managed product counterparts. Group summaries for the Root, New entity, user-defined folders, or child servers contain the following:
Antivirus summary - indicates the number of virus encountered by the products in a group, and the action taken against them
Spyware/Grayware Summary - shows the number of spyware/greyware items detected
Content security summary - shows the number of security violations detected and the countermeasures applied
Web security summary - shows violations encountered by the InterScan WebProtect for ICAP product (if registered with the Control Manager server)
Network Virus Summary - shows violations encountered by NVW products (if registered with the Control Manager server)
Violation Status - shows the number of NVW Service Violations detected
Component status (for group of managed products only) - provides the following component details stored in the Control Manager server:
Latest version of the virus pattern file
Latest version of the various scan engines (for the different supported operating systems)
Total - the total number of managed products that should use these components
Current - the number of managed products using the latest version of these components
Outdated - the number of managed products with outdated components
Click the numbers in the "current" and "outdated" columns to view the managed products that fall under these categories. The values in these columns are not clickable when viewing the Global Status or Product Status of managed products handled by a child server.
