Use the Communicator heartbeat screen to set the heartbeat settings.
The Communicator heartbeat setting only applies to Communicators for managed products directly controlled by the Control Manager server. Child Control Manager server Communicators use predefined values: Frequency: 3 minutes Maximum delay: 5 minutes
To set the heartbeat Frequency and Maximum delay times:
Access Communicator Heartbeat.
On the working area, leave the default values or specify new settings for the following:
Frequency — defines how often the Communicator responds to Control Manager server messages. The permitted values are between 5 to 480 minutes
Maximum delay — specifies how long Control Manager waits for a response from the Communicator before changing its management console status to (inactive). The allowable values are between 15 to 1440 minutes.
The Maximum delay must be at least triple the Frequency value.
Click Save.
