After manually removing the Control Manager server, you also need to remove related database components.
Trend Micro recommends attempting to remove Control Manager using the Windows Start menu or the Windows Control Panel. Use the manual removal instructions as the last resort.
Removing the Control Manager database components requires the completion of the following steps:
Remove Control Manager ODBC settings:
On the Control Manager server, click Start > Run.
In the Open box, type:
odbcad32.exe
On the ODBC Data Source Administrator window, click the System DSN tab.
Under Name, select ControlManager_Database.
Click Remove, and click Yes to confirm.
Remove the Control Manager MSDE database:
On the Control Manager server, stop the following services:
MSDE service (MSSQLServer service)
SQL Service Manager
Delete the ...\Trend Micro\MSDE directory.
Delete the following registry keys:
HKLM\SW\Microsoft\MSSQLServer
HKLM\SW\Microsoft\MSDE
HKLM\SW\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\MSDE
HKLM\CCS\Services\MSSQLServer
