The eManager family of content security products relies on anti-spam rules to identify unwanted email messages. For additional information on anti-spam rules, see Understanding the antivirus and content security components.
Trend Micro usually updates anti-spam rules at least twice a day.
Control Manager can obtain updated versions of these anti-spam rules from the Trend Micro update server and deploy them to managed eManager products. These files will be approximately 300 to 600KB in size in compressed form (as at December 2003).
