This section describes the threat's impact on affected systems.

Damage Potential indicates the threat's capacity to cause both direct and indirect damage to the host or network.

Rating	Description
High	Uses multiple methods to propagate or a single method that is particularly effective; includes threats with built-in SMTP engines
Medium	Causes reversible damage to system files. Data loss may be an issue.
Low	Minimal impact. Data loss is not an issue.

Distribution Potential indicates the threat's ability to spread to other hosts or networks.

Rating	Description
High	Uses multiple methods to propagate or a single method that is particularly effective; includes threats with built-in SMTP engines
Medium	Requires a manual trigger to propagate; includes threats that require USB drives to be inserted
Low	Is unable to propagate independently
