Configuring the Web Reputation Scan Service Parent topic

ScanMail provides two server options for web reputation queries: the Smart Protection Network and Smart Protection Servers.

Procedure

  1. On the left navigation pane, click Smart Protection → Scan Service Settings .
    The Scan Service Settings screen appears.
  2. Under Web Reputation Services, select:
    1. Smart Protection Network : Sends all web reputation queries to Trend Micro servers for verification.
    2. Smart Protection Server : Verifies all web reputation queries locally. If the local server cannot verify the queries, the server sends them to Trend Micro servers for further analyses.
  3. To configure your Local Sources settings, click the related link and refer to Configuring Local Sources .
  4. Click Save .
