Email Reputation verifies IP addresses of incoming email messages using one of the world's largest, most trusted reputation databases along with a dynamic reputation database to identify new spam and phishing sources, stopping even zombies and botnets as they first emerge.
A brief description of the options available on this screen is available below.
Enable Email Reputation: Select to enable features that block email messages from spam sources before they enter the network.
Standard: Select to use the Standard Reputation database to block messages from known spam sources.
Advanced: Select to use both Standard and Dynamic Reputation databases to block messages from known and suspected spam sources.
Email Reputation Services Portal: Click to view global spam information, reports, create or manage Approved and Blocked Sender IP address lists, perform administrative tasks, and configure the service from the Trend Micro Email Reputation Web site.
Add: Type an IP address and click to add the IP address to the Approved IP Address list.
Remove: Select an IP address and click to remove the IP address from the list.
To configure Email Reputation target settings:
Log on to the product console.
Click Spam Prevention from the main menu. A drop down menu displays.
Click Email Reputation from the drop down menu. The Email Reputation screen displays.
Select one of the following service levels
Standard: Uses the Standard Reputation database to block messages from known spam sources.
Advanced: Uses both Standard and Dynamic Reputation databases to block messages from known and suspected spam sources.
(Optional) Click Email Reputation Services Portal to configure advanced settings.
(Optional) Type an approved IP address and click Add.
Click Save.
