Using the Server Management Console

Use the Server Management console to do the following:

Description

View pattern and engine version

View information about current scan engine, virus pattern file, spyware pattern, IntelliTrap pattern, Int­elliTrap exception pattern, spam engine, URL Filter­ing engine, and spam pattern files for remote ScanMail servers.

View scan results

View information about the total messages scanned and the scan results for remote ScanMail servers. Scanning results also shows the number of detected:

  • Security risks

  • Uncleanable virus/malware

  • Blocked attachments

  • Spam

  • Content violations

  • Suspicious URLs

  • Unscannable message parts

View scan status

Indicates whether the scan type is enabled or dis­abled.

  • On Exchange Server 2003, you can view the scan status for security risk scan, attachment blocking, content filtering, spam prevention, and Web reputation for remote ScanMail servers.

  • On Exchange Server 2010 and 2007, you can view the scan status for Store security risk scan, Transport security risk scan, Store attachment blocking, Transport attachment blocking, Store content filtering, Transport content filtering, spam prevention, and Web reputation for remote ScanMail servers.

View last replication

View the server name, status, and duration of the last replication.

Replicate settings to remote servers

Replicate settings to one or multiple remote servers in the list.

  • All Settings

  • Content Filtering

  • Spam Prevention

  • Web Reputation

  • Manual Scan

  • Scheduled Scan

  • Updates

  • Overwrite server - dependent settings (such as quarantine and back up directories)
